What Does “Trauma-Informed” Actually Mean?

This approach is built on five core principles:


1. Safety

The therapist creates an environment where your body and mind feel safe enough to relax.


2. Trust & Transparency

You always know what to expect in the session. Nothing is forced.


3. Choice

You are in control of your healing. You set the pace.


4. Collaboration

You work with your therapist, not “on” you.


5. Empowerment

The focus is on your strengths, capacity, and resilience—not what’s “wrong” with you.

A trauma-informed approach sees the whole woman, not just the symptoms. ALL is welcomed.

You move at your own pace. You choose what you want to talk about. The pace is slow, supportive, and attuned to your comfort.
